Kranemann Wine Estates is proud to announce its most recent addition to the DOC Douro range: the first Hasso branded wine. Hasso is the Kranemann family’s trusty four-legged friend, a Rhodesian ridgeback, and inspiration for the project based at the family estate in the Monastery of São Pedro das Águias in the Douro.
The Hasso brand represents the entry level wines in the DOC Douro range and the first one to be released is the Hasso White 2018. Hasso Red will be with us by the end of the year. The inspiration for these wines is the relaxed, fun and lively personality of the Kranemann family dog.
“We were after a perfect balance between ripeness that boosts the fruity expression, making the wine very attractive, appealing, rich and enjoyable. We have tried to maintain a balance between acidity and freshness, paying homage to the special Douro terroir where we are based”, explained winemaker, Diogo Lopes, highlighting the balance between the aromas and freshness. “We are dealing with a modern, attractive Douro, defined by its terroir”.
Hasso White 2018 is produced from Gouveio, Viosinho and Fernão Pires grapes and is a perfect blend of fruit and freshness perfect for sharing with friends.
