The Hasso brand brings you seductive, fresh wines that reflect the high-altitude terroir of the Távora Valley, in the Douro. These are Kranemann Wine Estates’ young and subtle wines in the DOC Douro category from the Quinta do Convento de São Pedro das Águias. The first harvest – 2018 Red and White – was very well received in markets where it was released. Hasso established itself as easy-going and versatile. This market positioning is amplified with the launch of Hasso Red 2019.
“We have 42,000 bottles coming onto the market, a significant increase so that we can meet the growing interest in the wine. Simultaneously, we’ve kept the wine’s young profile. It undergoes less extraction, has fewer tannins, is subtle, marked by freshness and has its characteristic fruit. It is perfect for drinking on a day-to-day basis”, explains the winemaker, Diogo Lopes.
The Hasso brand is a tribute to the Kranemann family’s relaxed and lively four-legged friend, a Rhodesian ridgeback named Hasso. The image on the wine labels won the top prize in New Design of a Wine Brand at The Wine Design Challenge 2020.
