Presenting the new member of the team - Antão Almeida

Mar 28th 25

A discreet 29-year-old from Porto, Antão, grew up with a fascination for wine born at the family table. His father influenced him by giving him tastings of different wines and teaching him to admire the serene austerity of the Douro region.

Whilst studying Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto, he had the opportunity to work a few nights in a friend's restaurant, where he gained service experience and a deeper understanding of the wine business. This experience sparked an even greater interest, leading him to dream about wine - literally. This enthusiasm led him to enter the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), where he completed a postgraduate course in Oenology and Viticulture. The desire to further his studies with a master's degree remains.

Driven to learn and be helpful, Antão faces every challenge with the same dedication, whether washing vats, welcoming tourists, or pruning vines. His attitude is simple: be available, attentive to others, and never stop questioning.

He collects pictures and listens to music in the most varied styles. As with wine, he believes that being eclectic and having criteria is more a question of wisdom than dichotomies.

Passionate about gastronomy, he can't resist a good dish. He spends time in the kitchen because he sees the table as the centre of the world—the place for sharing and relationships.
